Travis was a scientist who previously had control over the 7/10 Tone YouTube channel.
In STATION_8 TRIM 5, Travis (through the 7/10 Tone channel) and INDI (through the 7/10 NPP channel) shared the following chat messages:
7/10 NPP: WHAT HAPPENED?
7/10 Tone: Live went out for a bit
7/10 NPP: OKAY HOW ARE YOU FEELING?
7/10 Tone: Not much better. It's working its way into
my lungs. I might not make it this evening
7/10 NPP: KEPLER SAYS THAT HE'S SORRY
7/10 Tone: Indi, it's not his fault. I was just not
carful enough.
7/10 Tone: And tell him that.
I don't want anyone but them to be blamed for this.
7/10 NPP: I UNDERSTAND. THANK YOU FOR HELPING US.
7/10 NPP: IF IT'S NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK, BUT HOW DOES IT
FEEL?
7/10 Tone: Cold
7/10 Tone: I'm tired

Most likely Travis died after this conversation, as INDI later would go on to say “Travis was a scientist”1. It is likely that the “it” which spread its way into Travis’ lungs was Black Mold.
Travis’ Parting Gift
The Parting Gifts puzzle gave a lot more insight into Travis, resulting in this final “gift”:

This message confirms Travis died. It is not known who Travis sent the data to, but from the sentence ” … BEFORE ONE OF YOUR AGENCY HAD POISONED ME AND TOOK MY HARDWARE” it seems like he was betrayed by some party.
By ”… POSTED ON MY CHANNEL”, Travis is likely referring to the videos backtone.extend 5_f”5.5” and BACKTONE-COMPLETED{KPJV, ETSN, YMUK, WWEV}, which were uploaded less than two weeks prior to his death. These videos are the only one on the 7/10 Tone YouTube channel to feature the prj_Home.exe environment. It is therefore likely that Travis created prj_Home.exe as a way to hide a message for anyone archiving the surroundings of 7/10 Tone.

Half Life Gameplay Footage
In November 2025, 7/10 Tone uploaded two videos with sped-up gameplay footage of Half Life: Gold Source edition, which was apparently being played by Travis in February 2025 (the 1st and 4th respectively), several months before his death. In the second video, it can be seen that he communicates with INDI through what appears to be the Private Room chat under the username “TRAVIS@user”. However, as to what they were discussing remains unclear as the chatroom was cut off by the corner of the screen.
