INDI (also known as IN_DI or IN_DI.servertype) is the name of the entity1running the 7/10 Tone Youtube channel. His job is to run REN signals, according to implications from Kepler.2

During the STATION_8 livestreams, INDI would respond to viewers through the chat, even though he wasn’t really supposed to do so.

Name

His official name is “IN_DI” as confirmed by Kepler/7/10 NPP in the STATION_8 TRIM 90 livestream. Viewers of the stream were asked to “think about why his name is INDI or more IN_DI”. The true meaning behind INDI’s name is not understood as if yet. INDI also goes by “IN_DI.SERVERTYPE” (or something adjacent), as seen in the description of LOG-109.MP, in the livestream chat of STATION_8 TERMINAL 8, and in LOG-132.

Personality

INDI always types in upper case letters1. He seems kind-hearted and willing to help, although he can be a little untrustworthy at times. 3 INDI has, through the STATION_8 livestream chats on the 7/10 Tone channel, been one of the main sources of lore insight, alongside SYSTEM.

Relationships

Kepler

His relationship with Kepler seems to be that of an employee to a supervisor. During the STATION_8 livestreams, Kepler would often supervise INDI as a way to try to not let him give away too much as to what was happening during the broadcast. Their tone towards him also seems to be somewhat distant, as if they didn’t really want to be responsible for “that thing”. They also seem to view INDI was an untrustworthy character yet necessary for whatever purpose they were trying to accomplish during the livestreams.

Travis

Not much is known about the relationship between Travis and INDI, but from what little information is available, they seem to have a sort of professional relationship with each other, which seems to be friendlier than his relationship with Kepler.

7/10NPP (INDI): ARE YOU STILL THERE?
7/10 Tone (Travis): barely
7/10NPP (INDI): YOU STILL HAVE ONE LAST JOB
7/10 Tone (Travis): I know
7/10 Tone (Travis): Will you see tell the others that I had fun with this.
7/10NPP (INDI): I WILL
7/10NPP (INDI): WHEN DID YOU ESCAPE?
7/10 Tone (Travis): What?
7/10NPP (INDI): NOT NEEDING TO PRY BUT THIS IS AN IMPORTANT QUESTION
7/10 Tone (Travis): I was never apart of the complex
7/10NPP (INDI): YOU'RE VERY LUCKY
7/10NPP (INDI): SORRY THAT I LEFT.
7/10 Tone (Travis): It's okay Indi.
7/10NPP (INDI): TESTING CONFIRMS THAT THIS ONE WILL DESTROY ANOTHER
7/10 Tone (Travis): Why does it always end like this?
7/10NPP (INDI): I ALREADY TOLD YOU WHY.

In ERE IS ONE PERSON I KNOW IT’S KE, he is seen communicating with Travis through a chatroom that is most likely the Private Room.

SYSTEM

SYSTEM was originally created by INDI as a PCV package to be sent to REN servers (“as a way to get back at them”), until he forgot about SYSTEM and made it a moderator for the channel during STATION_8 TERMINAL 8. brorb's avatar brorb @SYSTEM why were you created? SYSTEM's avatar SYSTEM <OUTPRINT>!:(At first, it was a way for IN_DI to get back at REN, but IN_DI forgot and made me a mod for a livestream.)

SYSTEM can use INDI as a callsign to connect to other servers.

After STATION_8 TERMINAL 8

An example of INDI’s voice as heard after the timer hit zero in STATION_8 TERMINAL 8.

After he was found after the Livestream chat initiated the op code at the end of the timer, INDI sent KEY and lm-1 as part of the Parting Gifts Puzzle. Immediately afterwards, he went missing and it is currently unknown where he is.

INDI usually types in all caps
INDI types with all uppercase letters
INDI distributing data through a transmission
INDI after the op code was initiated at the end of the Station Timer
INDI antenna logo with the word "INFECTED" overlayed on it
From LOG-111, this could suggest that INDI was infected with something

Footnotes

  1. At first, the channel was though to be run by a human, but 7/10 NPP (otherwise known as Kepler) confirmed otherwise in the STATION_8 TRIM 90 livestream chat. See Transcript for STATION_8 TRIM 90 for context. 2

  2. See STATION_8 TRIM 90 and STATION_8 TERMINAL 8

  3. Kepler has stated in the livestream chat of STATION_8 TRIM 90 that INDI sends rogue signals to an ESPaP station. Also, INDI has accidentally revealed sensitive information in the livestream chat a few times, which is how we got the information regarding Kepler’s name and the purpose of the Private Room.
